Umpire Information

Requirements
All umpires, regardless of experience, will be required to attend preseason training and meetings . Years of experience will determine the number of training sessions required. Umpires must reapply on a yearly basis and be 13 years of age by the opening day of each season. Games assigned and pay are based on years of experience.
Pay Per Game
Umpire Level 1 HS - High School Certified (requires proof of current MSHSAA registration): $60.00
Umpire Level 1, (min. 4 years of experience and at least 18 years of age): $52.00
Umpire Level 2 (min. 3 years of experience): $47.00
Umpire Level  3 (min. 2 years of experience): $42.00
Umpire Level 4 (min. 1 year of experience): $32.00
Umpire Level 5 (First Year): $27.00
 
Scheduling
All games (Baseball and Softball) are scheduled on www.eurekasports.net  Umpires will be given access after completion of training.  All umpires must have an email address and access to the internet. Games will be played mostly on weeknights at 6:00p.m. and 8:00p.m. (Monday-Thursday) with the expectation of a couple weekends.

STLWEST UMPIRE TRAINING

Umpire Training Dates and Information 2026

All umpires are required to attend a STLWEST Informational/Video Review Training Session and complete the Rules test.

Umpires who have 3 or less years of Umpire experience must also attend a Rules training session and an On Field Training session.

Other Important Dates
March 23, 2025 - April 7, 2026 -  STLWEST Pre-Season Tournament (No Games Easter Sunday) 
April 8, 2026 - STLWEST Opening Day

 

Please try your best to make training, if you are out of town and can’t make these dates please let us know as soon as possible. All umpires must be cleared before they can be assigned games. 
Returning College Students - We understand that you can not attend training; however you need to cleared before working games and complete the online rules test.
